Wells-next-the-Sea

The Area

Wells-next-the-Sea is a small bustling port located on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast, famous for its colourful beach huts dotted along the sandy beach against a backdrop of pine trees and big blue skies.

Wells boasts tiny streets, wonderful restaurants, quaint shops and friendly pubs. It also has a fabulous children’s playing field complete with pirate ship, and a fully electric beach bus that runs regularly to the beach. A vintage open-top bus also runs during the holidays. For those who enjoy a stroll there’s a leisurely mile walk along the sheltered harbour down Beach Road.

Shops along the narrow high street sell fresh local produce including fish, bread, meat, fruit & veg and delicious deli food, perfect for picnics. Wells is a truly traditional seaside town with buckets & spades, candy floss, ice cream and tasty fish 'n' chips.

Nothing quite beats an early morning or evening stroll along the quay to watch the local fishing boats arriving home on the tide with their daily catch.

Visiting Wells is like stepping back in time when holiday memories were built on long days at the beach, paddling in the sea and building castles in the sand. Happy days!
